He wānanga whakaakoranga nā Tainui Tukiwaho, Regan Taylor, Hōhepa Waitoa me ētahi atu kaikōrero.

He wānanga kōrerorero, whakaharatau mahi tuhinga hoki.

Ko te whāinga kia whakawhānui, kia whakawhanake i ngā tuhinga pūrākau o te ao Māori i roto i te reo Māori ki te atamira, otirā, kia whakamanawahia ai ngā kaituhi Māori ki te tito whakaari reo Māori.

He akiaki tēnei ki ngā kaituhi reo Māori, mai ngā aho huhua o te whare tapere, kia tono mai. He wānanga kore utu tēnei, heoi, me whakamōhio mai mehemea kia whai wāhi ai koe ki te kaupapa nei. Ko ngā hunga e noho kei wāhi kē atu i a Tāmaki Makaurau, e wātea ana he paku koha hei tautoko i tō haerenga.

Learn from Tainui Tukiwaho, Regan Taylor and other guest speakers about different approaches to script writing in te reo Māori.

The wānanga will include discussion and practical exercises.

The aim is to amplify and increase the number of works written in te reo Māori for the stage, increase pūrākau from te ao Māori in performance and grow the confidence of te reo Māori writers to write for te atamira whakaari. 

Writers in te reo Māori in other mediums are encouraged to apply. Places are free but limited. A small travel subsidy will be available for those travelling to the wānanga outside the Auckland region.

This wānanga is presented in association with Playmarket and will draw on the newly published Playmarket Guidelines Series: He Reo, He Mauri, He Mana: Te Reo Māori Theatre nā Tainui Tukiwaho & Hōhepa Waitoa.
